In February 2020, the private equity group BlackRock announced that it would become the majority shareholder of Creed. Its release date is unknown, although bottles are still in circulation. Olivier Creed's first eponymously named fragrance was a traditional eau de cologne with matching aftershave.

Herod will likely be my next full bottle purchase.James Henry Creed supposedly founded the House of Creed in London in 1760 as a tailoring establishment, however, the earliest evidence of Creed's existence hark from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I've only heard one other reviewer make a similar comment, so maybe I'm way off.
My first impression was that I felt like Layton was an apple version of Aventus and bought a bottle pretty much right away. I think I have some designer frags that overlap with this enough that I don't think I need it. Not sure if I'd would full bottle this one. It is more fruity, floral, with a hint of pepper. I tried 2 the first time and it wasn't enough.Įdit: 2 hours in, I like Layton. The initial spray will give you a peppery vibe too. I get Tobacco and Cherry from it then during dry down and after several hours a hint of a creamy vanilla. Herod is awesome, great fall and winter scent. Layton I will wear today and report back.
Lasted a good 13-14 hrs on me which is really rare. How do you like the last three? I know I like Layton & Herod.
